Africa is Burning
A recent post at TomPaine.com speaks of the inequality inherent in climate change. Countries in Africa, with 14% of the world population, contribute a mere 3% of the greenhouse gasses contributing to climate change, yet suffer the consequences of countries with much smaller percentages of world population producing up 25% of the CO2 and other greenhouse gasses burned into the atmosphere.
The consequences of continued inaction and foot-dragging by industrialized, hyper-consuming nations spread across the globe. Whether we like it or not.
